PETERSBURG, VA (WWBT) - Glen Fuselier's lawyer filed a motion in court Monday morning for his client to undergo a competency evaluation.
The preliminary hearing Monday in Petersburg Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court was postponed pending the evaluation results. Fuselier faces three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
The judge ordered the evaluation and set a court date of June 7 to address the results.
Fuselier, 19, led police on a high speed chase last month with children in the back seat.
The chase ended with Fuselier's vehicle flipping several times.
He remains behind bars, because last week prosecutors argued that Fuselier was a danger to society.
Altogether, Fuselier faces 10 charges, including attempted capital murder.
