RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The Richmond Police Department investigators are following up on multiple leads after a shooting Friday night in the 1600 block of West Broad Street near the VCU Monroe Park Campus.

After receiving a call for a fight with shots fired just after 10:30 p.m., officers found a 19-year-old male with a gunshot wound. He was taken to VCU Medical Center for his injuries and he is currently in critical but stable condition, according to police.

During their investigation, officers arrested Quionte D. White, 18, of the 1000 block of Edgehill Road, and charged him with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. At this time, he has not been charged in connection with the shooting.
