RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Big news for interstate travelers chugging coffee behind the wheel: four rest stops across the state reopen Wednesday.
Motorists will find relief at rest stops in Rural Retreat, Smyth, New Market, and Radford.
Former governor Kaine closed the rest areas last summer as a cost saving measure. But Governor Mcdonnell worked to get them reopened as soon as he took office.
We hear the closed rest areas near Richmond will reopen by mid April.
