Woman found dead at Greyhound station

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) – A Florida woman stranded in Richmond was found dead Sunday morning inside the Greyhound bus station on N. Boulevard.

The 48-year-old woman was discovered by a ticket agent shortly after 5:00 a.m.

Police say the woman was traveling from Florida to Massachusetts but due to inclement weather was held-over in Richmond.

According to investigators, video surveillance shows the woman was active overnight, talking with other travelers up until around 2:00 a.m.

Police believe the woman died of natural causes but have sent the body to the Medical Examiner's office to determine the cause of death.

The woman's identity has not yet been released.
