RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond's mayor will get extra time to fill a $30 million funding shortfall.

The city council is expected to vote on Monday to give Mayor Dwight Jones an extra two weeks to prepare his proposed budget.

Mayor Jones has said everything is on the table, including layoffs, furloughs and the consolidation departments.

He is planning to hold town hall meetings on the budget in March.
