Salmonella tests find strain in black pepper

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT)--New tests show the same strain of salmonella that sickened more than 200 people in at least 42 states has now been found in black pepper.

The spice was used to coat salami at a Rhode Island company that issued a recall last month.

Half the people sickened didn't eat any salami, so the investigation continues.
