Court date set for accused Appomattox shooter

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A court date was set today for the man accused in the Appomattox mass shootings.

Christopher Speight will have a preliminary hearing on April 29. He accused of killing his sister, her family and several family friends in January.

The Appomattox commonwealth's attorney says the criminal investigation is still underway and more charges will be handed down once it wraps up.
