Chesterfield teen gets community service in fake gun case

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - A Chesterfield teenager will have to serve 100 hours of community service for pulling out a fake gun inside a classroom at Meadowbrook High last October.

The commonwealth's attorney says the 16 year old student also wrote an unsolicited apology letter to the substitute teacher who was frightened by the incident.

The wooden rifle the teen used was a school prop.
