Heavy rains cause flooding of southwest rivers

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The heavy rain has caused flooding across southwest Virginia.

In Salem, the Roanoke River flowed over a bridge, and shut down the road around it.

In Henry county, people living along the Smith river awoke to high water washing over their roads, and even covering one man's pick-up truck.

So far though, no word of any serious damage or injuries.
