Concert benefits missing VT student

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Music lovers attended a benefit concert for missing Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington Saturday evening.

Harrington disappeared at a Metellica concert in Charlottesville last October.

Saturday's concert was organized by people who shared Morgan's love for heavy metal music.

Proceeds from the event at the Hat Factory will help fund the search efforts.

Morgan's parents attended the benefit.

They said the kindness of the organizers is helping them cope.

"We have to keep negative thoughts at bay and keep hope alive and we are so grateful that these folks are doing this for us. Let's bring Morgan home," said Morgan's mother Gil Harrignton.

There is a $150 thousand reward for information that will help police find Morgan.
