Meet Spiders new head football coach Latrell Scott - NBC12 - WWBT - Richmond, VA News On Your Side

INTERVIEW: Spiders new head football coach Latrell Scott

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - He grew up just a short drive from the University of Richmond and this fall he will be patrolling the sidelines at a brand new stadium as the Spiders brand new head coach.

Latrell Scott is set to take over for the successful Mike London who left to take over the top job at the University of Virginia. See the video at right for the full interview.

Q: You are a Lee-Davis high school grad, so you are a Richmond guy. What does it mean to get your first head coaching gig  here in the River City?

Q: You are also now the youngest head coach in Division I at 34. I would imagine that has its advantages and disadvantages?

Q: You have big shoes to fill. Your mentor Dave Clawson was successful here, of course Mike London won a national championship. How do you keep the Spiders contending for championships each year?

Q: What will it mean to be the first head coach to lead the Spiders in the brand new on campus stadium?
