RICHMOND, VA (WWBT)--An all out blitz to help the earthquake stricken nation is underway. It's still unknown how many people are dead. Haitian leaders say tens of thousands while others are hanging on to life.
The 7.0 magnitude quake took down just about everything in its way--shacks, palaces, businesses, cars and buses--crushed by debris from damaged buildings.
Dazed survivors, walk past dead bodies while rescuers dig through the rubble. Hundreds of people injured waiting for medical treatment at makeshift clinics.
With no homes or buildings considered safe folks are camped out in the street, in camps, waiting for help. And that help is slowly pouring in.
The bare necessities like food and water are making it to the victims of this disaster and more aid is making its way to the country at this hour.
