Police investigate triple shooting in Richmond

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond police are investigating a triple shooting following a wild evening on the city's southside.

It all happened just before 8 p.m. Thursday night in the 6400 block of Elkhardt Road near Hull Street.

Police say a 19 year old man flagged down an officer in a parking lot across the street from the Kingswood apartment complex. That's where officers believe the man was shot. He was taken to VCU medical center with life-threatening injuries. That victim has since been downgraded.

Later, two other juveniles showed up at Chippenham medical center, with gunshot wounds. One of them was also shot in the chest. Police say all three of the shootings appeared to happen in and around the Kingswood apartment complex.

Police say there are likely multiple gunmen, and will hopefully make arrests Friday.
