CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - What started as a domestic disturbance turned into a stand-off between a Chesterfield resident and the police.
Around 10:30 Saturday evening 44-year-old Joseph Scott barricaded himself inside a home in the 600 block of Clearlake Road off Courthouse and Reams Rd.
Negotiators tried for five hours to talk Scott out, but early Sunday morning a SWAT team was used to remove him by force.
Scott was charged with possession of a firearm after conviction of a felony.
Police say no one was injured in the incident.
