RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) – Police are alerting homeowners about a series of robberies involving heating and air conditioning units in Richmond.
In the last two weeks, Richmond police have received nine reports from victims whose HVAC units were stolen.
Police say the suspects cut the pipes and wires connecting the machinery to the home before hauling them away.
Investigators urge residents to be vigilant about their properties, especially unoccupied buildings and to report any suspicious activity they may see.
