RICHMOND (WWBT) - A former GRTC bus driver has been convicted of reckless driving in connection with the death of a pedestrian in downtown Richmond.

Richmond General District Court Judge Thomas O. Jones found Teresa L. Jones, 46, guilty on Tuesday and fined her $100.

Jones testified at the trial that she didn't see Loucendia Reed Lambert who was killed in the intersection.

The 55-year-old Disputanta woman was on her way to work at the Virginia Department of Health when she was struck by a GRTC Transit System bus driven by Jones on Sept. 30.
