NOTE: Story is no fun if you don't watch the video at right!

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - More than 1,000 photos and video were loaded to Send it to 12 at from this past weekend's snow storm.

We started with shots of snow-covered back decks and viewers measuring amounts of snow, but by Saturday morning, it was all about playing in the snow.

Children with their snowmen, like "Frosty the Fireman" sent to us by Christy Turner in Midlothian.

Amanda Branch and her dad worked hard to build a giant snowman in New Kent County.

How about snow dogs?  Mary and Mike Wells created a giant version of their dog Belle in Richmond.

Real dogs enjoyed the snow, like Katlyn Wall's, dog Lola in Rockville, Katy Waters' dog Lucky in Bon Air, and Gayle Overman's grandson and his dog in Varina.

Horses might have been the safest way to get around, just ask Goochland's Jessica Bowen.

How about cold bridesmaids? Amber Black sent in a good one from the Brown-Robertson wedding in Nottoway.

Andrew Barnett took advantage of the snow storm Friday night to get several black and white shots in downtown Richmond.

A white Christmas! Deer around Susan Powroznik's tree in Prince George help remind us  -- Santa is on his way.
