CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - The investigation into the shooing of a dog by a Chesterfield Animal Control officer could take months.
Clifford, a 10 year old beagle, was fatally shot last month as the officer tried to detain another dog.
Police say Clifford was aggressive, but the family says he did not need to be shot twice...feet away from a 13 year old girl.
Authorities say their internal investigation could take up to two months.
