H1N1 vaccine offered in Gilpin, Fairfield communities

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Several clinics are offering the H1N1 vaccine this weekend.

Bon Secours will take its medical Care-a-Van into public housing communities to administer the vaccine Saturday and Sunday.

The Richmond Health Department is providing the shot.

The focus will be on the high risk groups such as pregnant women, children and young adults, ages 6 months to 24.

The van is stationed in the Gilpin community until 3:00 p.m. and in the Fairfield community on Sunday from 11:00 to 3:00 p.m.

More clinics are planned later this month.
