RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - This morning, the governor's office released a revised report on the shooting spree at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg almost three years ago.
The update says university officials locked down a few buildings and some informed their own families about the initial killings before a campus-wide alert was issued.
It also adds details from the mental-health records of the shooter, Seung-Hui Cho.
Cho killed 32 before fatally shooting himself.
Victims' parents had pressed for corrections, and wanted university officials to be held more accountable for their roles.
