Chesterfield Fire rescues worker from manhole

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Chesterfield fire department officials said that two Verizon workers were doing work in a manhole when one sustained an injury to his leg.  Chesterfield Fire was called in to assist in removing the man from the manhole.

It happened around 2:10 p.m. today near Koger Center Blvd. and Midlothian Turnpike. The man has been successfully removed, according to officials.

NBC12 has a crew at the scene and will have more on this later today.
