BON AIR, VA (WWBT) - Are you looking to get a more bang for your buck? Well, your opportunity to buy fashionable clothes for less starts Wednesday! For the first time ever, one company is expanding its children's consignment sale to women's clothing!

You can get everything from formal wear and work clothes to shoes and purses, all at deeply discounted prices.  The Clothesline women's consignment sale's doors open to the public Wednesday.

Whether you're heading back to the workplace or looking for an inexpensive outfit for the holidays, a Calvin Klein dress for twenty bucks or an Ann Taylor shirt for eight dollars probably sound like pretty great deals!

"Everybody's looking for a bargain and the bargains are here," said The Clothesline owner Lisa Martin.

In the past, The Clothesline sales have only featured children's clothing.

"Moms were saying: 'I'm always looking for bargains for my kids, I want to find some bargains for myself.' So, this has opened the door to all women and not just women who are mothers," said Martin.

The four day event at the Bon Air Community Center features women's clothing, shoes and accessories. They've even got petite and plus sizes, some still with tags. Lori Guthrie is selling and buying at the sale. With the tough economy, she's not surprised so many people are taking interest.

"It helps tremendously! Especially this time of year when it's coming on the holiday time and you're trying to plan for Christmas and everything else and gas at $2.60 per gallon," she said.

As the days go on the prices drop even further. Consignors can decide if they want to discount their items to make sure they sell before the end of the sale.

"It gives us a time to shop and not be afraid when you get home to tell your husband how much money you spent when you walk in with five bags of clothing in your hands," said Guthrie.

Again the sale starts at the Bon Air Community Center tomorrow at 4 o'clock and goes through Saturday. For more details click the link located to the right of the article.

If you've missed the chance to sell some of your items, The Clothesline is planning another sale in the spring.
