RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Health officials are fighting a war against the swine flu. This weekend, President Barack Obama officially declared it a national emergency.
But posing a challenge is the ongoing shortage of the H1N1 vaccine.
It's still hurry up and wait for the swine flu vaccine, as production is slower than expected.
Health and human services secretary Kathleen Sebelius says the vaccine's makers were overly optimistic on their production estimates.
Already Richmond, Chesterfield and Henrico have used almost all of their vaccine supplies.
Dr. Don Stern, director of the Richmond City Health District, visited NBC12 today.
