RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A Richmond man who killed his mother could spend the rest of his life behind bars.

A judge sentenced 56-year-old David Worsham to 30 years in prison for first degree murder.  Worsham strangled 83-year-old Victoria Worsham as she sat in a recliner last October.

In a recorded confession, David Worsham told police his mother had criticized him for using cocaine.

Worsham's sister told the judge she forgives her brother and asked that he have a chance to get out of jail.
