RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - SWAT officers stormed an apartment looking for a suspected robber in South Richmond tonight.

For those of you who may have heard a loud boom about 10:00 p.m. near Labrook Drive, that was the SWAT team setting off a percussion grenade to disorient anyone who may have been inside.

But the apartment was empty, so now police are back to square one in trying to find suspected robber, 29 year old Orlando Davis, a convicted felon.

Police consider him to be armed and dangerous.

Police were called to an apartment complex off Labrook Drive near Midlothian Turnpike about 6:00 p.m.

That's when police say Davis robbed one of two men. The victim told police they and a witness watched the suspect run into an apartment. But again, no one was there.

If you have information about Orlando Davis' whereabouts call police.
