Richmond woman shot in the buttocks

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A woman in Richmond's East End found herself on the wrong end of a shooting last night.

Police say a 43-year-old woman was taken to VCU Medical Center last night with a gunshot wound to her buttocks. Her injury is not life threatening.

It happened in the 3300 block of Nine Mile Road near the Henrico County line.

Police say a gunman started shooting at a man walking by the woman's porch and she was hit as she tried to run into her apartment to hide.
