RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Things will be much different in the Henrico County school district this year.
In addition to a new superintendent, the district has also implemented a new dress code for students and faculty.
In our final installment of our back to school series, NBC12 education specialist Dr. Bill Bosher asks Dr. Pat Russo how that change is being received.
BOSHER: "We did an editorial about that recently and some of the comments kind of skorched me but then they got very positive, but, tell me about the dress code for teachers in Henrico."
RUSSO: "Well it really is about professional dress attire for all staff and with the adoption of the student dress code, bill there was a feeling that we need to emulate and model for our students, the proper dress that was developed by some teachers and some staff members and so on so, it will allow for our staff to have some guidelines for professional attire and I think the staff has been very supportive of it."
