CHESTERFIELD, VA (NBC12) - A Chesterfield job fair is bringing temporary jobs to people in our area.
The job fair continues Sunday and Monday.
On Saturday, 100 people were offered jobs.
This is all organized by Vangent Incorporated which is trying to fill hundreds of positions.
New employees will be processing Cash for Clunkers forms.
Even with the weekends new hires the company needs more workers.
"We have hundreds of positions we need to fill," said Vangent Operations Director David Harkess. "We are making on the spot offers to people who come in with their resume and ID. we interview and we can make offers today."
The job pays about $11 an hour and will last from four to six weeks.
There are also night and weekend shifts available.
The job fair runs from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn on Koger Center Drive.
That's just off Midlothian Turnpike.
