15 Virginians to test swine flu vaccine

NORFOLK, VA (NBC12) - 15 Virginians will be part of the swine flu vaccine trials.

Eastern Virginia Medical Center in Norfolk is one of the sites testing the vaccine.

As part of the process, participants get their first injection and then return 21 days later to receive a second dose and blood tests.

The testing is meant to confirm the vaccine is safe.

Volunteers for the study will be under close medical supervision throughout the trial.
