RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The missing Chesterfield teen who disappeared in Virginia Beach last Friday night has been found.

Marcus Olson, 16, is safe and currently with his mother.  Search and rescue dogs tracked had Olson's scent as far south as Corolla, North Carolina.

Randy Olson, Marcus' father, says the teen was found at 8:30 a.m. today by his mother.  The father says Marcus was found at the RV resort in the trailer next door to the one his family owns.

According to Marcus' brother, his mother knew the people who own that trailer weren't around.  But she noticed that the air conditioner was on so she checked it out and her son was hiding underneath a bed.

The father says his son made it all the way to Corolla and back-tracked his way back to the RV resort.  He says there's even surveillance video of his son in North Carolina.

The father says his heart goes out to everyone who was looking for Marcus.  Marcus and his mother are still in Virginia Beach.
