Wal-Mart evacuated for bomb scare

CHESTERFIELD, VA (NBC12) - The Wal-Mart off Hull Street Road and Rt. 288 was evacuated Sunday for a possible bomb threat.

Around 2:00 p.m. witnesses say employees began to escort coustomers out of the store.

Chesterfield police tell NBC12 that the Wal-Mart received a threatening phone call.  The caller said there was a bomb inside the store that would explode at a certain time.  That time came and went with no explosion.

Police are investigating and will be trying to track down that caller.
