Richmond officer taken to the hospital after being hit by SUV

RICHMOND, VA (NBC12) - A Richmond Police officer received minor injuries after being hit by a passing SUV early Sunday morning.

Police say around 3:45 a.m. in the 700 block of N. Harrison St., an officer investigating a larceny into a vehicle was clipped by a passing car.

The driver was stopped a short time later and charged with DUI and felony hit-and-run.
