RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The Climate Prediction Center says that El Nino has officially returned and could continue to strengthen.
The most notable potential impact for us? Typically, El Nino's mean DECREASED Atlantic hurricane activity.
The current forecasts are for an average hurricane season, but now forecasts will likely drop. When it comes to temperature and precipitation, in the Mid-Atlantic we don't see much impact.
However, in the Southern U.S., the weather tends to be cooler and wetter than average.
