RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond police are searching for a man involved in a bizarre home invasion robbery in the Museum District Tuesday night.

Police say two men -- armed with a gun and a taser -- robbed a man and a women in an apartment building on the 3000 block of Monument Avenue.

It happened at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The robbers tried to tie up the man, but stopped when he resisted.

They got away with a purse, cash and credit cards and tried to kick in another apartment on the way out.

They fled in a blue van, which police later found in South Richmond. Investigators arrested John Johnson, 35, and say they have strong leads on his accomplice.
