RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The organizers of the 2009 Richmond Folk Festival have put out a call for help.
Venture Richmond needs 1,200 volunteers for the three day event this fall. Last year's Folk Festival drew more than 185,000 people to the downtown's historic riverfront. This year's event runs from October 9 through the 11.
"We need people to help sell sodas to help sell merchandize, people to help the artists as they are going around site. People to escort the artists around the site," said Lisa Sims, Venture Richmond.
Volunteers will get a free tee-shirt for helping out. All you have to do is sign up for a four hour shift. You can even pick the day you want to work and what kind of job you would like to do. Just click here.
