RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -      A Hanover County man is now facing charges for a deadly accident that happened almost a year ago.

David Casstevens III, 25, is charged with DUI and manslaughter.

Police say he was driving drunk last July when he exited I-295 onto Nuckols Road West, missed a stop sign and crashed into a guard rail.

The passenger in his car, 63-year-old Paul Tonn was killed.

Police weren't able to charge Casstevens until now because they had to wait for forensic evidence to prove he was driving the vehicle.
