Bond set for man accused of attempting to abduct a 4-year-old

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Henrico Juvenile  and Domestic Relations court held a bond hearing for William Scott Baker this morning.

He is accused of attempting to abduct a 4 year old in the Innsbrook Shopping Center.

The judge set  $80,000 bond on Baker.  His defense attorney originally asked for $15,000, but he doesn't know if Baker will be able to make bond.  He doesn't have a job or any assets, according to his defense attorney.

If Baker makes bond, he will be subject to electronic monitoring, house arrest, sent to Henrico mental health for substance abuse evaluation with no contact with victim. His next time in court Sept. 4.
