RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A portion of main street -- between 7th and 8th is expected to  re-open on Wednesday.

A city spokesperson says rainy weather, last week delayed the repairs.

The right two lanes have been closed for three weeks, because of two holes, caused by a busted sewer.

The sewer was more than a hundred years old and was made with a material no longer used. It took an extra two weeks to have materials delivered to make the repairs.
