RICHMOND, VA (NBC12) - Helping Richmonders reach their dreams and revitalizing a neighborhood all at the same time.
The Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority held a workshop designed to help eligible Richmonders buy newly remolded homes at cheaper prices.
The program offers essentially brand new homes at affordable prices, competitive mortgages and government subsidies.
"It's just a wonderful thing when can assist people into being first time home buyers," said RRHA Homeownership Director Robert Jackson. "It really builds the community. When you own something you tend to take pride and joy and you just tend to take better care of it."
