Judge gives second chance to members of VSU fraternity

From NBC12 News

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, VA (NBC12) - Eight men facing charges in the alleged hazing of a Virginia State University student have been asked to stay out of trouble.

The men appeared in court Friday.

The judge ordered them to pay their court costs and "keep their noses clean."

If they comply, charges will be dismissed.

Several of the suspects are VSU students and members of the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity.

The alleged incident happened off-campus in February.

School officials say the victim suffered extreme bruising.
