State confiscated prairie dogs sent to zoo

From NBC12 News

POWHATAN, VA (NBC12) - An update on the prairie dogs that were confiscated by the state this week.

The Powhatan woman who was caring for eight of the animals tells us all of them have found a new home at the Richmond Metro Zoo.

Debbie Burden was worried the prairie dogs would be euthanized.

The state confiscated them after they were sold, illegally, at a Norfolk pet store.
