POWHATAN, Va. (WWBT) - The third defendant in the death of Tahliek Taliaferro has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.
Stephanie Reynolds pled guilty to accessory after the fact today after a plea deal was arranged. Reynolds was originally charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of the Powhatan High School student. The charge was reduced in March to involuntary manslaughter after she testified for the prosecution in the trial of cousins Ethan and Joey Parrish.
The judge sentenced her to 3 years suspended. She is getting credit for time served. Reynolds was in jail for 10 months.
In March, the Parrishes were found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of Taliaferro. They, too, were originally charged with first-degree murder.
Ethan and Joey Parrish will be formally sentenced June 4.
