Authorities need help identifying larceny suspects

HANOVER, VA (WWBT) - Hanover County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the two men pictured.

Authorities said they are responsible for stealing a flat screen television from a local retailer on April 11.  One suspect went to purchase some items with a gift card.  He had a flat screen television in his possession and told the cashier he paid for it at another register.  When the suspect went to exit the store, another suspect distracted a store clerk stationed at the entrance.

The sheriff's office said they have information to indicated these suspects have used this technique at other retailers in central Virginia.  They may be operating a dark gray 4-door Ford F-150 truck with tinted windows and possibly displaying Georgia or Florida license plates.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Hanover County Sheriff's Office at 365-6140 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
