VIRGINIA (WWBT ) - We have an update about the state agency hit by hackers who may have accessed millions of Virginian's prescription drug records. Nearly 2 weeks after the cyber attack, the Virginia Department of Health Professions is slowly restoring its computer functions. Email is back up and running, but the actual database is still offline.
The hackers say they want 10 million dollars to give patient records back, but it remains unclear whether they really got those records in the first place.
