Storm severs power for thousands across metro

From NBC12 News

RICHMOND, VA (NBC12) - The severe weather knocked out power to thousands of people in central Virginia Saturday evening.

At the peak of the storm Dominion Virginia Power reported close to 15,000 homes and businesses without power in the Richmond-metro area.

Another 1,000 customers in the northern neck were also in the dark.

Crews have since restored electricity to nearly all their costomers though several hundred households are still without power.
