CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Haz-mat crews have cleared the scene of a building where a suspicious white powder was found.
A portion of the Capital One building in Chester was evacuated and an undisclosed number of employees were kept inside in the wake of the discovery.
Police say a worker in the mail room found the substance in an envelope mailed to the building.
The substance has been sent for testing and the building has been declared safe.
This is the third suspicious white powder found at buildings in the Richmond area in the last seven days. At this point, no connection between the three incidents has been made.
