Man dies after losing luggage on I-295

From NBC12 News

HENRICO, VA (NBC12) - Charges have been filed against a Hopewell woman in connection to a deadly crash on I-295.

The right and center southbound lanes have finally been re-opened to traffic.

They were shut down just north of the Varina-Enon bridge for several hours Saturday afternoon.

Police say a car was parked on the side of the road while the occupants tried to pick up some luggage they had lost.

That's when another car, driven by 29-year-old Tracy Williams, ran off the road.

30-year-old Jeremy M. Steen of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania died at the scene.

Williams is charged with reckless driving.

Police say weather was not a factor in the crash.
