The 5th Annual Richmond Jazz Festival at Maymont brings back a sense of serenity, soul and smooth sounds to the City of Richmond. Located at Maymont, the Richmond Jazz Festival features over 25 local, national and international bands and artists on three stages. Festival attendees enjoy smooth jazz, while taking advantage of products and services sold by vendors, scheduled wine tastings and chef demonstrations featuring international cuisine. On Thursday, August 7, 31 Singers Jazz Trio perform at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and Alison Self Trio performs at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery. Then on Friday, August 8, Homegrown at the Hipp features Blind Boys of Alabama and Sean Jones Quartet acts at the Hippodrome Theater. On August 9 and 10, festival attendees will enjoy exclusive access to the beautiful landscape and gardens of Maymont, where over 25 artists will perform! Self-guided tours are encouraged! The musical selections will be predominately jazz, but will also include R&B, neo-soul and other genres that add diversity and flavor to the festival.
