CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (WWBT) - The jury in the George Huguely murder trial began deliberations Wednesday morning, after a 3-day break following nearly two weeks of testimony. Huguely faces charges of 1st-degree
Murdered UVA lacrosse player, Yeardley Love, is set to receive an award posthumously from the Young Women's Christian Association of South Hampton Roads.
On Friday, jurors in the George Huguely murder trial heard from Huguely for the first time, as the prosecution played an interrogation tape from the morning Yeardley Love was found dead.
Lawyers for George Huguely argued in court Yeardley Love died from "a tragic combination of circumstances to which George contributed," but not lethal brain injury.
Lawyers for the man accused of killing a University of Virginia lacrosse player appeared in court today. NBC12 legal analyst Steven Benjamin joined First at Four to talk about the case.
In a Charlottesville court today, a judge decided that Yeardley Love's medical records will remain under seal until the judge can examine them himself to determine what should be shared.
A judge dismissed a petition from a group of newspapers to have an order that sealed search warrants and other documents in the case against George Huguely unsealed.
