Mission Nuestra Señora de la Purísima Concepción de Acuña

For National Hispanic Heritage Month we take a look at Mission Nuestra Señora de la Purísima Concepción de Acuña, the oldest unrestored stone church in the US. This historical mission was named in honor of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception and Juan de Acuña, the Marqués de Casafuerte.

Presidential Proclamation: National Hispanic Heritage Month

To honor the achievements of Hispanics in America, the Congress has authorized and requested the President to issue annually a proclamation designating September 15 through October 15 as "National Hispanic Heritage Month."
